he Attorney General's Office (AGO) has arrested Ermawan Arief Budiman, a former manager of the Belawan power plant of North Sumatra's state-run power company PT PLN, who had become a fugitive in connection with a graft case involving the procurement of turbines.
AGO spokesman Tony Tribagus Spontana said on Monday that Budiman was arrested at 6:30 p.m. when he was at the Baiturrahman Mosque in Cilandak, South Jakarta.
"Budiman was arrested after performing his Magrib prayers at the mosque," Spontana said as quoted by Antara news agency.
Based on the Supreme Court's decision number 362 K/2015 dated Feb. 12, the defendant was legally and convincingly proven guilty of corruption in the procurement and lifetime extension work on major overhauls at the Belawan power plant in North Sumatra in the period between 2007 and 2009. (hhr)
