President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo said that Indonesia could be the center of growth in the Asia-Africa region thanks to its geopolitical and geo-economical conditions. 'Seen from its geopolitical and geo-economical conditions, Indonesia could be the center of growth in the region,' he said before departing to Malaysia from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in East Jakarta on Sunday.

When many domestic needs are in a state of disrepair and neglect, when the only 'outstanding' maritime-related foreign policy thus far is to burn illegal fishing boats, I would prefer Jokowi first clean up the House of Representatives, bring stability and increase stronger compliance levels of law and order in government.
It is not out of place to ask now, what has Jokowi accomplished thus far in foreign relations? The Asian-African Conference in Bandung was more for nostalgia and was empty of substance and appeared somewhat irrelevant.
His governing and political skills need help from true and tried pros. His vision must be backed with in-depth studies and solid and sound workable programs.
