he UN Secretary-General's Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation (UNSGAB) wants to respond to the positions taken by Mr. David Boys as reported in an article written by The Jakarta Post's Corry Elyda published on April 9, 2015.
The opinions expressed by Mr. Boys, the Deputy General Secretary of Public Services International, an international federation of unions, of which SP-PDAM Jakarta is a member, was wrongly attributed to him in his capacity as a member of the UN Secretary-General's Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation (UNSGAB).
Our board of internationally renowned figures, which focuses its advocacy work on institutional action to solve water challenges, respects the individual opinions of its members. UNSGAB has, however, decided for many years to stay neutral in the political debate related to private and public water operators.
