ambi authorities have arrested six undocumented Chinese workers employed by a local company during an impromptu inspection on Wednesday.

Kuala Tungkal Immigration Office spokesman, Agus Suharto, said on Thursday that during the inspection of PT Lontar Papyrus Pulp and Paper Industry (LPPPI), immigration officers found that the Chinese nationals were unable to show work permits.

"We have arrested them," Agus said.

PT LPPPI spokesman, Hermawan, said that the six people worked as sub-contractors at PT LPPPI and had legal documents.

"They didn't bring the documents during the inspection," Hermawan said, "The documents are still in Jakarta. They are in the process of being sent to Jambi."(++++)
