tate airport operator PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II is set to establish an umrah lounge at Terminal 2 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, which aims to provide more space for passengers leaving on umrah (minor pilgrimage), an official has said.
'The umrah lounge will make the pilgrims feel more comfortable due to a wide array of facilities provided,' AP II president director Budi Karya Sumadi said as quoted by Antara in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.
He said the umrah lounge would have a modern but minimalist design. The lounge will have a number of facilities needed by pilgrims. An immigration service outlet will also be located in the lounge, making it easier for pilgrims to process their departure.
Budi further explained that Terminal 3 Ultimate was being constructed to help boost Soekarno-Hatta Airport's capacity to 25 million passengers per year.
'As of now, the terminal's construction is 76.21 percent complete, faster than its initial projection,' he said. (ebf)(+++)
