'In my principle, a healthy, strong and smart child who has high moral standards can only be born to a mother with similar qualities,' he said as quoted by Antara in Jakarta on Thursday.
President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo announced that nine women had been selected as KPK leadership selection committee members on Thursday.
Meanwhile, acting deputy KPK chairman Indriyanto Seno Adji said it was hoped that the selection committee worked with integrity.
'I respect all the women who have been selected,' he said.
Financial and monetary expert Destry Damayanti serves as the selection committee's chairperson while constitutional legal expert Enny Nurbaningsih, who heads the Law and Human Rights Ministry's national law management agency, is the committee's deputy chairperson.
The other members are human rights and criminal law expert Harkristuti Harkrisnowo, information and technology expert Betti S.Alisjahbana, economic criminal law and money laundering expert Yenti Garnasih, human resources psychologist Supra Wimbarti, bureaucratic reform and governance management expert Natalia Subagyo, law expert Diani Sadiawati and sociologist Meuthia Ganie-Rochman.
