wenty six members of the House of Representatives' Commission II on domestic governance submitted a proposed revision of the 2015 Local Election Law to House leaders on Monday.
The proposal won political support from legislators of political parties grouped in the Red-and-White Coalition, led by former presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto.
'We are sure the proposed revision will not disturb the local elections and their preparations,' Ahmad Riza Patria, a representative of the 26 legislators, said as quoted by kompas.com on Monday.
The proposal was handed over to House Speaker Setya Novanto and Deputy House Speaker Taufik Kurniawan.
