ndonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) lawmaker Pramono Anung says that even though his party has made suggestions to President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo's on reshuffling his Cabinet, the ultimate decision is Jokowi's alone to make.
'As the ruling party within the government, we have made suggestions. But we are not forcing the President to conduct a reshuffle. The prerogative to do so lies with the President and Vice President,' Pramono said on Tuesday at the House of Representatives complex in Jakarta.
When asked about possible candidates that the PDI-P had suggested to the President, Pramono refused to mention names. He has been rumored to have been suggested by the party as a new member of the Cabinet in any reshuffle that takes place.
Previously, Vice President Jusuf Kalla confirmed that there could be a Cabinet reshuffle sometime this year in response to public opinion and work performances of the ministers. (hhr)(++++)
