So the logic is that females are persons with which you can convince people that you are serious about anticorruption?

Mr. President must work hard to commit to his vision to eradicate corruption and make the Corruption Eradication Commission work hard by selecting nine female experts to find clean leaders at the antigraft body.

This is in fact the time for the womenfolk to prove they are better and can do better than their male counterparts! Women have been subordinated for so long and with this obvious recognition all women simply want to show that they too can show serious business. I can see the womenfolk will silently get together and prove they can do the same if not better. Bad luck for the corrupt.

I appreciate Jokowi's decision to select nine females with different backgrounds to become the commission selection team.

To get away with this, Jokowi would have to sever relations with politicians. I am surprised but cynical now. The KPK is down and I do not have faith Jokowi will restore it. The economy is running down. Corruption is out of control and increasing under this government.
The public wants reform, but the House, the police and the judiciary support corruption and block all moves for reform. There is simply no other way for the will of the people to be heard.

I really hope these nine ladies are truly professional and independent.

Deep in my heart I hoped, no, I expected, that President Jokowi would come with a policy that counteracts his silence on matters of corruption in the recent past. Bravo Mr. President, please continue to surprise us in a positive sense. No boasting, but deeds are important.

None of them are related to any political party or have 'special interests' in that matter. That's why the KPK, Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) and many others are very happy with this committee.

I wonder what guidelines he will lay down? Will Jokowi want them to search for independent-minded free-thinking KPK commissioners, or merely those who will do as they are told and not rock the boat, especially when it comes to investigating high ranking members of the elite?
