ity-owned bus operator PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is set to open a special route to facilitate visitors of the upcoming Jakarta Fair in Jakarta International Expo in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
Transjakarta president director Steve Kosasih said the new route would be operational only during the Jakarta Fair from May 29 to July 5, which is one of the series of events held to celebrate the city's 488th anniversary.
The route, he said, would start from the National Monument in Central Jakarta and pass through City Hall, Gambir, Juanda, Pecenongan, Pasar Baru and Gunung Sahari before ending at the Jakarta International Expo, at which point the bus would turn around and head back.
'The route will be operational only during the Jakarta Fair. We have already prepared a permanent bus stop and installed machines to detect electronic cards for ticketing,' Steve said at City Hall on Thursday.
