tornado swept through three villages in Batumandi district, Balangan regency in South Kalimantan, damaging 113 houses on Thursday.

The affected villages were Bungur, Batumandi and Teluk Masjid, head of the Balangan Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Alive Yoesfah Love said.

One person was injured, and several trees were uprooted due to the strong winds. '€œSome trees fell on a bridge, causing damage and affecting the routine activities of local residents,'€ Alive said as quoted by Antara news agency.

Other public facilities damaged by the wind include school buildings, mosques and government offices. Local authorities have since cleared the fallen trees that were blocking the roads and bridge.
