After attending a fashion event in New York, actress Asri 'Welas' Pramawati says that she wants to sell traditional Indonesian designs on her personal website.
'I really want to open a market [for Indonesian products] there [New York]. I will likely use my site, Asri Welas, to reach the international market,' she told kapanlagi.com recently.
Asri, who presented her kebaya collection during the Couture New York Fashion Week, in February, said she would encourage local designers and home-based industries to sell their wares on her website.
The actress also has plans to sell her batik designs to the state-owned railway firm PT Kereta Api Indonesia.
'I will make the batik fabric to decorate their dining cars.'
