Award winning American a capella group Pentatonix is slated to hold two concerts in Jakarta as part of its "On My Way Home" world tour.

The first concert will be held on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Balai Kartini, South Jakarta, while the second will be held on Thursday at the same time at the Tennis Indoor Senayan, also in South Jakarta.

The concert'€™s event organizer said on Tuesday that 3,000 tickets prepared for the Wednesday concert had been sold out; however, there were 1,000 tickets still available for the second show.

"We are going to sell the tickets on the spot as well," said Anas Syahrul Alimi, CEO of Rajawali Indonesia, the organizer of the event, in a press conference on Tuesday.

In the press conference Pentatonix also expressed its enthusiasm to hold its first concert in Indonesia.

The group, formed in 2011, has garnered a strong fan base on YouTube with its covers of a wide range of contemporary and classical music that has received more than 100 million views.

Its music video tribute to French electronic group Daft Punk won it a 2015 Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instrumental, or A Capella category. (fsu/ebf)(+++)
