Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama has overhauled the management of city-owned Bank DKI, promoting Kresno Sediarsi as the bank's president director to replace Eko Budiwiyono
akarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama has overhauled the management of city-owned Bank DKI, promoting Kresno Sediarsi as the bank's president director to replace Eko Budiwiyono.
The shake-up was held after an extraordinary meeting of the bank's shareholders on Wednesday.
Jakarta Investment and Promotion Office head Catur Laswanto said that the overhaul was decided on following the bank's poor performance in 2014.
"Bank DKI's performed significantly worse, especially in terms of the high ratio of bad debts. At the same time, the governor needs a new manager who can make the bank run faster," Catur said as quoted by kompas.com.
The personnel chosen to fill the positions on the bank's boards of directors and commissioners came from noted professional banks and had good track records, Catur added.
Kresno, for example, is a former technology and operations director of state-owned Bank Mandiri. (hhr)(+++)
