tate-owned oil and gas company Pertamina's marketing operation division (MOR) IV for Central Java and Yogyakarta has guaranteed the distribution of fuel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) during Ramadhan and Idul Fitri.
The company's MOR IV general manager, Kusnendar, said Pertamina would establish fuel distribution monitoring task forces at its Semarang and Yogyakarta offices. It will also coordinate with relevant institutions, such as the Central Java administration's task forces, the National Police, the Indonesian Military, the Association of Fuel Station Owners (Hiswana Migas) and Bank Persepsi.
Kusnendar said Pertamina would also prepared 19 mobile filling stations in the form of fuel trucks that would be dispatched to several areas in Central Java and Yogyakarta that were usually the most congested during the Idul Fitri holiday.
'If there are shortages of fuel in one of the spots, one of the trucks will directly move to the closest area. This way, people won't have to wait for fuel trucks from Semarang or Boyolali and Yogyakarta,' said Kusnendar.
Pertamina has said that customers could phone (021) 500000, send a text message 08159500000 or email pcc@pertamina.com to lodge complaints about fuel and LPG distribution. (ebf)(++++)
