Hundreds of former National Monument (Monas) street vendors wrecked the Lenggang Jakarta food court and souvenir center in Monas, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, to express their anger at the city administration.

The street vendors previously did business in the Monas area. The city administration evicted the vendors and developed Lenggang Jakarta for selected vendors who had permits.

Your comments:

It is a disgusting mentality. They illegally sell junk and unsanitary products, then get evicted for being '€œillegal'€, and then continue their illegal activity by destroying '€œlegal'€ places.

When will these criminals be sent to the place they belong, namely, prison?

The police typically do nothing, especially about illegal street vendors, parking criminals, etc.

Willo

Lock them up. It'€™s cheaper right now to do so.

X. Simaging

That always seems to be the solution '€” violence and the demand to uphold unlawful activities.

Gordon

They should realize that unlawful activities are only tolerated when committed by the rich and well
connected.
