ore than 40 e-commerce companies, including Lazada, Bukalapak and Zalora, are taking part in an online shopping event that offers big discounts during Ramadhan.
The companies are offering discounts of up to 80 percent on their merchandize, which includes attire, beauty products, food, gadgets and other wares.
"This is the peak season, and we expect sales to increase three times from regular days," said Zalora Indonesia head of marketing Jo Bjordal at a media conference on Tuesday.
The event takes place from June 25 to July 5.
The shopping event, called Lebaran Belanja Online (Lebaran Online Shopping), is also aimed at promoting online shopping.
Sixty-three Jakarta-based online shops are also offering discounted prices in the third Jakarta Great Online Sale, which kicked off on Monday and lasts through June 30. (fsu)(++++)
