Barita Lumban Gaol who presided over a hearing at the Bandung District Court in West Java on Wednesday, said that the defendant was convincingly proven guilty of violating the 2002 corruption law.
State prosecutors in the previous hearing, demanded the panel of judges sentence the defendant to six years in prison.
Responding to the court's verdict, Annas said he would be appealing to the higher court.
Irene Putri who chaired the prosecutor team in the case, said that she would discuss it with her team.
'We will decided whether to accept or appeal,' she said as quoted by kompas.com.
The KPK says it caught Annas red-handed accepting a bribe from a businessman at his private residence in Cibubur, East Jakarta, on Sept. 25. (rms)(+++)
