ikarang in West Java continues to attract major property developers thanks partly to its accessibility and development as an industrial estate. Cikarang has contributed to 40 percent of the country's total exports.
PT Cowell Development, through its subsidiary PT Nusantara Prospekindo Sukses (NPS), for instance, recently launched Mahogany Towers as its new property in the region.
The mixed use development project is very close to Cikarang Barat toll gate and is surrounded by 2,000 large- and international-scale industries, which is one of its selling points.
PT Cowell Development corporate sales and marketing director Joy Dwiputranto Lango said that with almost 15,000 expatriates living in the area, Cikirang has serious rental market potential.
'Investing in property will be more attractive when investors can enjoy potential gains and high returns on investments, which should be higher than those offered through deposit rates. It should also be higher than the inflation rate,' Joy was quoted as saying by kompas.com.
In the near future, when the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) comes into effect, the property business is expected to have more solid and promising prospects.
