he city administration on Monday kicked off a food transportation inspection by checking raw materials coming into Jakarta to be distributed to markets.
Fisheries, Agriculture and Food Security Agency head Darjamuni Taseda said the agency would target commodities such as agricultural products, livestock and fish.'The operation will be conducted every day from midnight to dawn, involving personnel from the Jakarta Police, the Transportation Agency and Satpol PP [Public Order Agency]. We will target vehicles from outside Jakarta,' Darjamuni told reporters at City Hall on Monday.
He said livestock would be checked at slaughterhouses in Cakung and Pondok Rangon in East Jakarta. Fisheries products would be checked at the Muara Angke and Muara Baru in North Jakarta, while agricultural products would be checked in Kramat Jati wholesale market in East Jakarta.
