AKARTA: Singer Kunto Aji Wibisono is preparing an album of songs that will talk about the issues of the millennial generation.
'I am part of the generation that will become the country's leaders. The people of this generation are open to everything and are independent, ready to make their own choices. My songs will talk about this generation's point of view,' said Aji as reported by tribunnews.com on Monday. The album is set to be released by the end of the year.
Writing all of the songs, Aji said he was inspired by his friends and current news, including his latest single 'Terlalu Lama Sendiri' (Alone Too Long), which came from his friend's rants.
The finalist of Indonesian Idol Season 5 in 2008 was recently named Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the NET. Indonesian Choice Awards for the single.
Aji, from Yogyakarta, who is famous for his jazz vocals and frizzy hair, will release his album under his own label, which he plans to call Uppercut Production. He added that he wanted to become an entrepreneur in the music industry.
