David, one of the residents, said on Monday that the garbage had piled up for a month reaching 3 meters in height in some places.
'The waste has started falling into the river that flows to Jakarta. That can trigger flooding in the capital city,' he said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Separately, the agency secretary Oka Barmarah promised to solve the problem by coordinating with the Bina Marga (Road) and Water Resources Agency.
