'The President is scheduled to depart at 1 p.m.,' Bukit Barisan Military Command chief of staff Brig. Gen. Cucu Sumantri said in Medan on Wednesday.
'Security has been prepared on the eve of the President's visit,' he said as quoted by Antara news agency.
North Sumatra Police chief Insp. Gen. Eko Hadi Sutedjo said that the police had coordinated with other security authorities to make preparations ahead of the visit.
'We will give a report on what the police have done in handling the tragedy,' he said.(++++)
