Jokowi to visit crash site in Medan

span class="inline inline-center">President Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo is scheduled to visit the crash site of an Air Force-operated Hercules C-130 aircraft in Medan, North Sumatra, and to inspect firsthand the recovery and identification of victims' bodies at the Adam Malik General Hospital.

'€œThe President is scheduled to depart at 1 p.m.,'€ Bukit Barisan Military Command chief of staff Brig. Gen. Cucu Sumantri said in Medan on Wednesday.

'€œSecurity has been prepared on the eve of the President'€™s visit,'€ he said as quoted by Antara news agency.

North Sumatra Police chief Insp. Gen. Eko Hadi Sutedjo said that the police had coordinated with other security authorities to make preparations ahead of the visit.

'€œWe will give a report on what the police have done in handling the tragedy,'€ he said.(++++)
