he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) selection committee announced on Saturday that Election Commission Honorary Council (DKPP) chair Jimly Assiddiqie was one of 194 applicants to have passed an initial administrative test.
Jimly, meanwhile, said he was ready to undergo the next stage of the selection process to offer an alternative candidate for commissioner.
'I want to be an alternative candidate for the selection committee. It will depend on the selection committee,' the former Constitutional Court chair said as quoted by kompas.com.
Besides Jimly, deputy KPK chair Johan Budi Sapto Prabowo and several police officers also passed the initial test to become commissioners for the 2015-2020 period.
Three police officials 'Brig. Basaria Panjaitan, Insp. Gen. Syahrul Mamma and Papua Police chief Insp. Gen. Yotje Mende' and two retired police officials, Basuki and Rudiard ML Tampubolon, passed the initial test and have confirmed their participation in the subsequent tests. (rms)(++++)
