JAKARTA: Legendary folk music group Bimbo has embraced the recent endorsement of the Copyright Law by the House of Representatives
AKARTA: Legendary folk music group Bimbo has embraced the recent endorsement of the Copyright Law by the House of Representatives.
Bimbo welcomed the law, which would protect intellectual rights of song composers and impose heavy penalties on piracy perpetrators, by launching a new album.
Bimbo's members Sam, Acil, Jaka and Iin Parlina rearranged 25 of their legendary songs for the new album, ITB Menyanyi Di Bimbo.
The album also involves more than 250 artists who are alumni, students and lecturers at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
'This new album marks our return to the recording studio. We will also produce new musical works and songs for the future,' Sam said as quoted by Tribunnews.com.
