he Financial Services Authority (OJK) has warned finance industry players to remain vigilant during the Greek crisis as the situation remains volatile.
'The impact of the Greek crisis is global in nature and I'm optimistic that it will be only temporary. Still, we need to anticipate how long the crisis will be. We remain vigilant and have asked finance industry players to remain on guard against impacts from the crisis,' OJK chairman Muliaman D.Hadad said as quoted by Antara on Wednesday. He was speaking to journalists in an event in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Muliaman said standard procedures to anticipate global financial crises, including the Greek debt crisis, were similar, namely safeguarding markets closely and asking all financial sector players to strive to mitigate what happens.
He further highlighted that in such a situation, it was important to manage risks well. (ebf)
