ssistant to the Jakarta governor for tourism and culture Sylviana Murni has urged the State Secretariat to hand over a plot of land in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, by the end of July, for the construction of apartments for athletes competing at the 2018 Asian Games.
'I think we need to move fast as we have signed the agreement [with the state secretary],' she said at City Hall on Tuesday as quoted by kompas.com.
She said city-owned property developer PT Jakarta Propertindo was ready to carry out the project.
Sylviana said if the city failed to acquire the land, it would book rooms for the participating athletes.
