he Polewali Mandar Police in West Sulawesi has arrested a Polewali Mandar regional administration official for allegedly keeping and consuming crystal methamphetamine at his workplace.

Polewali Mandar Police'€™s narcotic unit head Chief. Brig. Ibrahim said the police had arrested Nursaid, the head of the regency'€™s unity, politics and public security agency (Kesbang) on Friday at his residence in Wonomulyo district to follow up an earlier raid on his office.

'€œ[We] found inhaling equipment, including a pipette, glass pipes, Pyrex [glass], a lighter and empty plastic wrapping,'€ he said on Saturday as quoted by kompas.com.

The police, however, did not find any narcotics in Nursaid'€™s office or residence. Nursaid had admitted to the police that the inhaling equipment belongs to him and he often consumes crystal methamphetamine alone in his office, Ibrahim said. Earlier, the police conducted a drug test of all employees in the agency. The test came back negative, including that of Nursaid.
