The fire broke out at around 2:30 p.m. local time on Monday and destroyed one of the factory buildings that produced Converse brand shoes. The police have said that they have yet to identify the cause of the incident.
'We are still investigating the fire,' Tangerang Police head Sr. Comr. Irman Sugema said on Monday as quoted by kompas.com.
According to him, as many as 18 fire trucks were deployed to extinguish the fire that raged until 6 p.m. He said the fire did not claim any lives, but injured three people who were being treated at the Siloam Hospital in Tangerang.
'Two people suffered burns on both hands, while the other suffered burns in his left hand only,' he said.
