Guess what?: Joe to play in '€˜Star Trek Beyond'€™

Actor and martial artist Joe Taslim is set to feature in the upcoming Star Trek movie after finishing an acting course at the Margie Haber Studio in Los Angeles, the US.

'€œThe course took two months to complete,'€ Joe'€™s manager Buci said as quoted by kompas.com.

Buci also confirmed that the upcoming Star Trek Beyond movie would be Joe'€™s first appearance after successfully finishing the acting course.

Meanwhile, Star Trek Beyond will be Joe'€™s second appearance in a Hollywood movie. Previously, he played a villain in Fast and Furious 6, directed by Justin Lin.

Lin will also be in charge of directing Star Trek Beyond.

Joe gained international prominence after playing in Indonesian action movie The Raid, along with Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhiyan and Ray Sahetapy.
