Jokowi to inaugurate LNG refinery in Banggai

resident Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo, accompanied by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo, is presently carrying out an official visit to Central Sulawesi, during which he is scheduled to inaugurate the Donggi Senoro liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Uso village, Batui district, Banggai regency on Sunday.

President Jokowi and his entourage departed from Juanda Airport in Surabaya, East Java, to Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar, South Sulawesi, using the Indonesian presidential aircraft at 8 a.m. local time, Antara reported.

The President and his entourage continued their flight to Syukuran Aminuddin Amir Bubung Airport in Luwuk, Central Sulawesi, via a CN 295 aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force and arrived at 12:40 p.m.

Central Sulawesi governor Longky Djanggola and his wife, Zalzulmida Aladin Djanggola, welcomed President Jokowi and his entourage, which included Health Minister Nila F. Moeloek and Culture and Elementary and Secondary Education Minister Anies Baswedan.

In his visit, President Jokowi is scheduled to inaugurate the Pertamina Integrated Megaproject, a project which integrates upstream and downstream gas industries. The project is a '€œjoint venture'€ between Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), the upstream subsidiary of state-owned oil-and-gas company Pertamina, Medco Energi, Mitsubishi Corporation and Korea Gas Corporation.

During the visit, President Jokowi will also distribute Social Assistance Cards for People with Heavy Disabilities, Indonesia Health Cards (KIS), Indonesia Smart Cards (KIP) and Prosperous Family Cards (KKS) to the people in Uso village in Batui district, Banggai. (ebf)(+++)
