ity-owned train operator KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) will extend the platforms of 21 train stations in the city to accommodate the operation of 12-car trains, which is set to commence by the end of this year.
KCJ communication manager assistant Adli Hakim Nasution said that in the first stage, the operator would renovate 16 stations, including Kranji in Bekasi, as well as Klender Baru and Buaran in East Jakarta.
'The renovation of the 16 stations is planned to be completed by the end of this year,' told Adli to kompas.com on Thursday.
After the 16 stations, KCJ will proceed with five other stations: Depok and Depok Baru in Depok, West Java, Lenteng Agung and Pasar Minggu in South Jakarta and Cawang in East Jakarta.
