AKARTA: Singer Kikan Namara said that 1990s music is the main inspiration of her debut solo album, which is due for release in November.
'I added a myriad of sounds from the 90s because I gained my fame in that era. I wanted to bring back the spirit of the 90s,' the former vocalist of music band Cokelat was quoted by kompas.com. The album will feature 10 songs, nine of which were written by Kikan.
Although she is not new to the music industry, the mother of two said that producing her first solo album had not been easy as she had to work really hard to remind people about 'Kikan'.
'I got the inspiration from my daily life. I observed different types of love that other people enjoy. I included many kinds of love ' from love of nature, to love of family and of other people,' said the 38-year-old.
