Actress Vicky Shu, who runs her own online shoe store, said the US dollar rate hike has no impact on her venture.
'The materials I use for my shoes are all from Indonesia. So the dollar rate does not affect me at all,' Vicky said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Vicky added that she might even gain some advantage from the hike.
'Sometimes, I get customers who live abroad and pay in dollars. So, I can also profit,' she said.
The Cilacap-born actress said that entrepreneurs had to be flexible in dealing with currency fluctuations.
'There are positive and negative impacts, but it really depends on each business and how it deals with changes. The more important thing is how to adapt to changes so that the Indonesian economy can grow,' she said.
