Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama is set to reshuffle hundreds of provincial officials, including echelon II, III and IV positions.
According to a report by kompas.com, up to 10 echelon II officials were inaugurated by Ahok on Friday morning, including Blessmiyanda as head of Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Agency (BPPBJ), Budi Utomo as Thousand Islands regent, M. Anwar as Thousand Islands deputy regent, Michael Rolandi Cesnand Brata as deputy head of Jakarta Asset and Financial Management Body (BPKAD), Bayu Meghantara as head of Jakarta Organization and Governance Bureau (Ortala), Irmansyah as East Jakarta deputy mayor and Meri Ernahani as assistant deputy to the Jakarta governor for transportation affairs.
Prior to the reshuffle, Ahok had made similar moves in January, May and July.
In January, around 4,800 officials were reshuffled by Ahok. Due to the large number of people, the inauguration ceremony was held at the Monument National (Monas), not at City Hall. (edn/kes)
