I apologize for any inconvenience and grief that may have been caused by my opinion article
apologize for any inconvenience and grief that may have been caused by my opinion article. I certainly had no intention of hurting the feelings of the Bangladeshi people, as I am pretty aware of the history of the independence of Bangladesh and the sacrifices of its founding fathers.
I mentioned the Bhola Cyclone as an example of how a natural disaster could leave a permanent mark on modern Asian history, and the fatality figure I cited referred specifically to the conventional estimation of death following the 1970 cyclone, not the resulting war of independence.
I am sorry for any upset that I have may have caused and I promise to be more careful and thorough in my writing and I thank you for the criticism and reminder.
