Greater Jakarta: Killer of Japanese woman still at large: Police

he South Jakarta Police are still searching for the killer of a Japanese national identified as Yoshimi Mishimura, 28, who was found dead at Casa Grande apartments in Tebet, South Jakarta, on Monday. The perpetrator is alleged to have been a close acquaintance of the victim.

'€œWe have identified, and are searching for, the murderer,'€ South Jakarta Police deputy chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Surawan said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Tuesday.

The perpetrator, Surawan added, committed the offense, in which Mishimura was allegedly strangled to death, with the help of an accomplice.

The murder case was revealed after Mishimura'€™s body was found in her apartment on the 10th floor by the apartment'€™s agent Kathrin Septy, 34, Mishimura'€™s driver Rohidin, 53, and building security officer Heri Siswono, 28.

In its preliminary investigation into the death of Mishimura, an employee of an automotive company in Pulogadung, East Jakarta, the police also found indications of theft, with the victim'€™s cell phone nowhere to be found in the apartment.
