AKARTA: Songster Ari Lasso has promised to give a new color to the songs of rising singer Tulus in their duet concert, Dua Ruang (Two Rooms), on Oct. 4 in Istora Senayan, Jakarta.
'I will sing Tulus' songs in my own style,' he said at the concert's press conference in Jakarta recently, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Ari said that his son had listened to him practicing the covers. 'He laughed upon hearing the songs and said, 'Dad, why have the songs become like this?''
'But he [Tulus] doesn't mind [the cover versions],' Ari smiled at Tulus, who was sitting beside him.
Tulus said he was thrilled to collaborate with the seasoned balladeer in the concert.
'Honestly, I feel a bit nervous. But I can't wait to perform the concert. I am looking forward to sharing the stage with him.'
