Besides the anticipated fierce all-Indonesian fight between Sunoto and Mario Satya Wirawan, the ONE Championship mixed martial arts contest on Sunday will also feature a Dutch fighter of Indonesian blood named Vincent Latoel.

Latoel, whose parents hail from Maluku, will face Arnaud Lepont of France in a lightweight division and his coach predicted a second round KO win for the 36-year-old fighter.

'€œMy prediction? I think there will be a second round KO,'€ coach Martjn de Jong told The Jakarta Post recently at their retreat at Hotel Kartika Chandra in Jakarta.

'€œVincent has already been a professional fighter for more than 15 years with more than 40 matches. He has so much experienced ['€¦] so many big fights he already had.

'€œWe are not underestimating this fight at all but we know what Lepont'€™s qualities are,'€ de Jong said.

Unfortunately Latoel will be performing at Istora Senayan indoor stadium, which was the backdrop for his submission loss to Australian Adrian Pang in his last fight in December.

However, de Jong seems to be confident about his fighter'€™s ability in rediscovering his winning formula to be redeemed.

'€œThis is Vincent. Everybody knows his style [...] kill or be killed. He will just go in and finish the fight.'€

Latoel, whose attacking niche has forced his opponents to submission in seven of his 15 career wins and earned him a nickname of '€œMagnivincent'€, said he was looking forward to the fight.

'€œI trained more mentally and physically,'€ he said.

'€œHe'€™s an all-round fighter. He can do stand-up and also on the ground,'€ he said about his opponent. '€œWe analyzed his style and I trained for it.'€

He is coming back for a second time to the battle ground where he triumphed in his first visit in 2013 and where the crowd is most likely to be emotionally behind him.

'€œI feel like very proud to fight over here because my heritage is from here. I have extra motivation to perform well,'€ he said.

There will be a total of eight bouts. The Latoel-Lepont fight will be one of three to be aired live on RCTI.

The other two are the all-Indonesia bantamweight contest and the main card of the night pitting featherweight world champion Narantungalag Jadambaa of Mongolia against Marat Gafurov of Russia.

'€œThis is the first time an MMA fight will be aired live on TV in Jakarta,'€ ONE Championship senior director and public relations officer Loren Mack said.

'€œOne can feel the exhilaration here in Jakarta as we step closer to ONE fight night! All the fighters are pumped and ready for their fights at Istora Senayan, and they will all be bringing their A-game to cage,'€ he said.

Entry tickets range between Rp 150,000 (US$10.20) and Rp 2,750,000.
