Guess what?: Calvin Jeremy to show bright side of breaking up on next album

JP/Ricky Yudhistira

The end of a relationship does not always come with sadness; this is the message that singer Calvin Jeremy is trying to convey in his upcoming album.

'€œThe lyrics of my next album will represent the daily life of teenagers. One of the songs is about the positive side of breaking up,'€ he told kompas.com in Jakarta on Sunday.

'€œBreaking up doesn'€™t mean cutting off communication with your ex-lover. Instead you can reminisce about your beautiful moments together with your ex,'€ the 24-year-old singer said.

In the album, due to be released next year, Calvin put more focus on the writing of his own lyrics, and slightly altered his standard jazz approach by adding more pop elements.

'€œI am not trying to downgrade my work, but I am trying to translate it into easier listening music for the Indonesian public.'€
