JAKARTA: The online buying and selling of properties â be it homes, offices, stalls or land â is becoming more and more popular
AKARTA: The online buying and selling of properties ' be it homes, offices, stalls or land ' is becoming more and more popular. Aside from being an easier process, the act of making property purchases online also allows for more possibilities.
Rumahku.com CEO and cofounder Robert Adrian said that buying homes via the Internet meant that buyers could look for homes that fit their exact needs without ever having to step outside.
The website currently has 215,000 listings for properties and reaches up to 2 million visitors per month. 'These numbers are proof that buying and selling properties online is becoming increasingly in demand,' Robert said.
Online property sales, he added, were popular in places like Greater Jakarta, as well as in cities like Makassar, Bandung, Surabaya and Semarang.
In fact, interest in online property sales in Semarang has grown so much that it pushed Rumahku.com to open a branch there.
'By opening a new branch in Semarang, we hope that we can make it easier and more efficient for homebuyers to look for properties,' Robert said.
'We are very careful to protect the quality of our listings,' Sas said. 'We make sure the details of the property are accurate on the listing so as to prevent repeated listings of the same product.'
