I was happy to be in the TNI at the start of our struggle for independence, but it was sad to see my colleagues monkeying around while others sacrificed their lives for our country's independence.
We are free but our necks are tied by corrupt hands. I once suggested the recruitment of more pilots (as I was the training director).
I was met with a furious face and told that instead of training pilots we should buy more aircraft. I argued that should we had too many pilots who we could easily phase out by sending them to local airliners that were yearning for more experienced pilots.
It is high time to overhaul the system for the best interests of our national defense on our 70th anniversary.
The Air Force, which started with RI-001, C-47 Dakotas, P-51 Mustangs and lots of light Japanese fighters, is presently ready to haul troops to any part of the archipelago, including Papua, to help improve our democracy by uniting the people under one roof and belief in Pancasila.

Promote generals who are not only good soldiers but also have strong management skills.
