and the teacher's mother with a machete on Wednesday morning.
According to Tangerang Police chief Sr. Comr. Irman Sugema, the student, identified only as FA, attacked the teacher, Muryana, and his mother, Trihartati, because he smarted at the teacher's frequent scolding.
'FA said that he bore a grudge against Muryana, as the teacher often scolded him for arriving late or a lazy attitude,' Irman told wartakotalive.com on Wednesday.
The suspect approached the victims' house at around 12:45 a.m. and first attacked Muryana, then Trihartati.
Although she was injured, Trihartati managed to call for help from local residents, who reported the case to the police.
Both of the victims sustained serious wounds and are hospitalized for intensive care.
