ADANG: In stage seven of the Tour de Singkarak 2015 international cycling race on Friday, the powerful Pishgaman Giant Team of Iran continued to lead.
Arvin Moazemi Goudarzi maintained his yellow jersey as the overall champion by collecting 23 hours, 22 minutes and 37 seconds, while teammates Amir Zargari and Hossein Askari trailed in second place (with a one minute, 42 second time difference) and third (three minutes, two seconds later).
Askari kept his green jersey as the top sprinter by collecting 14 points. Askari's teammate Goudarzi secured the second spot among the sprinters with 13 points, while Dutchman Thomas Rabou of Taiwan's Attaque Team Gusto threatened with 11 points.
Rabou also won the stage seven race by clocking in 3:03.35.
Similar to stage six on Thursday, Goudarzi held on tight to his polka dot jersey as the top climber with 77 points.
Indonesian host Hadi Suryadi of the Pegasus Continental Cycling Team remained with his red-and-white jersey as the top Indonesian as well as the orange jersey for the top Southeast Asian rider, with a total time of 20:28.26.
Stage seven stretched 123.5 kilometers from the equator in Bonjol, Pasaman regency, to Simpang Empat in West Pasaman regency. Only 74 cyclists out of 135 made it to the end of the stage.
