olice arrested an Indian national on Sunday who had been on Interpol's wanted list for his alleged involvement in 15 to 25 murder cases in his country.
Kumar Mohan, 56, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. local time soon as he arrived at Ngurah Rai International Airport from Sydney, Australia on a Garuda Indonesia flight.
'We were informed that the suspect was going to Bali by the Australian police. So we arrested the suspect as he arrived in Bali,' the Denpasar Police general crimes division chief, Comr. Reinhard Habonaran Nainggolan, said.
'The suspect was an Interpol fugitive. It was noticed that the suspect has [allegedly] masterminded around 15 to 25 murders in India,' he added.
Reinhard explained that the suspect was now under arrest in the Denpasar Police headquarters. 'We will report the arrest to the National Police headquarters to follow up on the arrest,' Reinhard explained.
