Guess what?: Brandon impresses with '€˜Heart Beat'€™

JP/Arief Suhadirman

Actor Brandon Salim shows his showmanship in his second film Heart Beat, in which he not only acts but also plays the guitar.

'€œI love the story, it sends a positive message. I always like music-themed drama,'€ he said as quoted by Kapanlagi.com on Thursday.

Brandon, the oldest child of veteran actor Ferry Salim, is also a musician.

The 19-year-old is the star of webseries Anak Artis (Celebrities'€™ Kids) and appeared in 7 Hari Menembus Waktu (Seven Days Going through Time) with fellow teen actors Anjani Dina and Teuku Rassya and his father.

In teen movie Heart Beat, Brandon assumes the role of a musician performing in a café with a friend called Lexa. '€œThe film is about friendship, telling us to stay true to our friends and to be tolerant with them. It fits with the tagline: a friend is a relative that we choose,'€ he said.

Heart Beat will start screening at local theaters Nov. 12.
