egendary martial artist and action film star Jet Li is paying a visit to Indonesia as one of the guest stars of the 13th Wushu World Championships in Jakarta.
'We had requested the international wushu federation send Jet Li to attend the tournament, which is currently being held in Indonesia,' Wushu Indonesia Federation secretary-general Iwan Kwok said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Li reportedly arrived in Jakarta on Nov. 12. He then joined the tournament's official opening ceremony on Friday. Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama even took a selfie with Li.
The Chinese actor also handed out medals for winners who competed during the tournament's first day on Saturday.
Li became a household name for action film fans in Indonesia following the success of his films Fist of Legend and Tai Chi Master in the 1990s. He also starred in Hollywood films, from Lethal Weapon 4, The Expendables and Hero to The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
