AKARTA: Actor Reza Rahadian is optimistic that he will grab the Piala Citra award for Best Lead Actor at the Indonesia Film Festival (FFI) awards next week.
He noted veteran actor Deddy Sutomo as the toughest contender, but is confident he will come out the winner.
'Deddy Sutomo is a seasoned actor. He is my toughest competition,' the 28-year-old actor told kompas.com on Wednesday.
'The judges will consider the emotions conveyed by the actors in their roles, whether their portrayals showcased different emotions or if their performances fell flat. I am optimistic that I am the strongest nominee,' he added.
Reza is nominated twice for roles in Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto (The Nation's Teacher: Tjokroaminoto) and Kapan Kawin? (Are You Getting Married?) Reza has won Piala Citra awards in 2010 and 2013.
