A new 20 euro bill is going into circulation, which the European Central Bank boasts will include enhanced security features to better protect against counterfeiting.

The bill, being introduced across the 19-country eurozone Wednesday, is the third in a new series, with two of its security features carrying the portrait of Europa, a figure from Greek mythology.

The 5 and 10 euro notes are already in circulation and the higher-denomination bills will gradually follow.

The new bills are similar in color to their predecessors but have security features that can be checked with the "feel, look and tilt" method. These include a special paper with raised print, a portrait window and security thread, a silver stripe that reveals a portrait of Europa, and an emerald number that reflects light.
