edan City Police say they are still investigating the suspicious death of a Nepalese doctor, identified as Tej Bikram, 37, whose body was found in a plantation area on Jl. Haji Anif in Sampali village, Deli Serdang regency, North Sumatra.
North Sumatra Police chief spokesman Sr. Comr. Helfi Assegaf said on Monday that police had questioned five witnesses, but none of them could explain the cause of Bikram's death.
Helfi said that based on statements by the victim's colleagues, Bikram was last seen on Nov. 20 at Hotel City Inn in Medan where they were staying, after which he was not seen again until he was found dead on Sunday.
'None of his colleagues knows where Bikram went. Suddenly, there was a report saying Bikram's body had been found in Sampali. Police are still investigating the case,' Helfi told The Jakarta Post on Monday.
He said an autopsy would be conducted on Bikram's body at the Bhayangkara Police Hospital in Medan.
